September 4, 2006 – We inquired with Heritage about Qin, and were told that she was on hold for a family, and had many others waiting.

Wed., September 13 – We receive an email from Peggy at Heritage informing us that Qin is available.

Thurs., September 14 - after researching and speaking to drs., we fax in our formal application for Qin at 11:00 pm at night!

Friday, September 15 – 12:54 pm we receive an email that Qin is ours!!

September 30 – We sent our LOI to Heritage

October 5 – Scott and I complete our physicals and blood tests

October 6 – Heritage mails out our LOI to China.

October 18 – Our social worker comes for homestudy visit and we receive our fingerprint letter today!

October 26 – We send off Scott’s birth certificate to the Chinese Consulate in NY for Authentication

October 28 – We got fingerprinted in Tampa

November 10 – Receive homestudy draft from SW and sent over for review to dossier consultant and to our agency.

November 20 – Received PA!!

November 20 – Received homestudy back from our SW with most of revisions.

November 27 – Returned homestudy back to SW for final revisions

November 28 – Sent out two packages for Anna Grace to receive second week and third week of Dec.

December 8 – Received more pictures of Anna Grace from two more families visiting Hefei and received our completed and notarized homestudy reports!!!

December 11 – FedEx’d homestudy to USCIS and notification comes from CCAA that there are new rules as of May 1, 2007….we no longer qualify if our dossier is not logged in by then. L

December 13 – Homestudy report received by USCIS

December 19 – Receive more pictures of Anna Grace from our agency director. Our package that included her little family album was delivered to her!

January 4, 2007 – We receive our I171H!!!!

January 9 – Documents leave to FL Sec. Of State for certification

January 11 – CCAA adds another step (acceptance letter) to process of adopting a waiting child.

January 17 – Documents leave FL Sec of State and head to our dossier consultant in Houston.




January 25 – Our documents were picked up from the Houston Consulate office by our dossier consultant and sent to us via FedEx.

February 6We found out today that we are FINALLY DTC!!!!! Wooohooo!!!!!

February 26 - We received our Login Date....an unbelievable 7 days after DTC! February 13!

April 6 - We sent Anna Grace another package, this one for her birthday, which is Saturday, April 7. Also, Kai's passport finally arrived today!

April 27 - after waiting 73 days, at 2:45 p.m. we received the call that our LOA was at our agency!!!!!

April 30 - LOA heads back to Heritage Adoption Services in Portland, OR. and is delivered on Wed., May 3, 2007.

May 4 - Our LOA was sent by our agency to CCAA and was delivered to them on May 6.

May 31 -
On day 107 of the TA wait, and 34 days from receiving our LOA, we finally heard at 3:30 p.m. that our TA has arrived!!!!!

June 13 -
We head to the beautiful country of the People's Republic of China.

June 19 -
We hold our beautiful daughter for the first time.

June 25 - Our Consulate Appointment

June 27 -
Start the journey back home to the US.

June 29 - Arrive in Ft. Myers and begin our lives as a complete, forever family.
